The instructors
Hayley Alexander
B.H.K., M.P.T., Physiotherapist
Hayley Alexander graduated from UBC Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2014. Hayley is the co-founder of Pain Recovery, a virtual pain-care clinic in British Columbia. She works alongside the clinic’s physicians to deliver evidence-informed Group Medical Visits that blend education, movement, and whole-person support. Hayley is currently taking a pause from her in-person pelvic health practice to focus on building Pain Recovery and expanding access to pain education across the province. She deeply misses her perinatal patients and looks forward to returning to that work in the future. Throughout her career, Hayley’s work as a physiotherapist has grown from general practice into two main areas of focus: pelvic health and supporting individuals living with persistent or chronic pain. She works with people across the perinatal journey, guiding them through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and longer-term well-being. As a mother of two, Hayley has personally navigated pelvic health challenges and postpartum recovery. These experiences deepen her understanding of the physical and emotional realities of this stage of life and shape her warm, collaborative, and evidence-based style of care.Hayley is passionate about helping individuals feel confident and supported in their bodies, whether preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or living with ongoing pain. She is especially committed to integrating pelvic health and modern pain science in ways that feel accessible, practical, and empowering. Outside her clinical work, Hayley enjoys time outdoors with her family, trail runs with friends, and the simple joy of a really good cup of coffee.

Jennifer LaRoy
BKin., MScPT, FDN, Physiotherapist
Jennifer LaRoy graduated from University of Alberta Physical Therapy program in 2009. Jennifer works as a Physiotherapist in private practice in British Columbia almost exclusively seeing clients for a variety of pelvic health concerns. As Jen works part time with a group of midwives in Chilliwack, a significant proportion of her clients are pregnant or postpartum. More and more, she is seeing individuals in peri and post menopause who are often seeking pelvic health care for the first time. Jen is passionate about educating individuals throughout the spectrum of pelvic health needs. Getting to see those who are pregnant for the first time and helping them understand the changes happening to, not only their pelvic floor, but the rest of their body brings her satisfaction and joy in her job. Guiding people at all stages of life through expectations, questions and fears around their pelvic health is one of her favorite parts of her job as well as breaking down barriers for those seeking care.
